The app also provides offline reading capabilities, ensuring that users can access the full text of the scriptures even without an internet connection.
The app includes the following volumes of Restoration scriptures: the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearls of Great Price. The Restoration Edition text is the result of extensive collaboration by a dedicated committee of volunteers. Their goal was to compile the most accurate and comprehensive set of scriptures based on the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ that began in the early 1800s through Joseph Smith, Jr.
It is important to note that the Restoration Edition, the committee responsible for its compilation, and the developer of this app are not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or any other church or organization. The app serves a loose association of fellowships of believers in the Doctrine of Christ.
Please be aware that the current version of the app contains the March 2017 text, and ongoing editing work may result in changes. Once the final print edition has been completed by the scriptures committee, an updated version of the app will be released with the revised text.
